Two decades of systems that must not fail.

Described without client names. Our clients' systems are their business; the engineering is ours to tell. Sectors and scale are accurate; identities are deliberately withheld. Our own research and protocols are named, because they are ours.

Financial core systems

Core banking, from a blank page

Sector
One of Central Europe's largest banking groups
Role
Specification, architecture, delivery leadership of the analytical core

A greenfield core banking platform: user management and instrument models, product engines, account and balance containers, transaction processing and the general ledger mapping beneath it all. We specified and designed the analytical accounting core — the part where every movement of money becomes a booking — and built the client application and its API on top. Multi-year program, standards written by us, from UML to code review.

Securities back-office, two decades in production

Sector
Banks and investment service providers
Role
Development, design leadership, then platform architecture

Settlement and account management for securities: allocations, order handling, bank statement processing, corporate actions, custody accounting. Position and inventory keeping with valuation and P&L — including a decentralized inventory management design where P&L is computable without booking through client accounts. Systems in daily production at multiple institutions, refined release after release for over a decade — the kind of software that outlives the workstations it was installed from.

Factoring: the calculation nobody dared touch

Sector
A factoring operation
Role
Design of the agreement & calculation engine within an internal systems renewal

The module where agreements are priced: a variable-rate, variable-instalment recurrence solved for whichever quantity the negotiation needs — instalment, rate, discount or term. Derived from first principles, prototyped in MATLAB, verified against the business's own worked examples and signed off by the people who price agreements for a living.

Pension funds and fund accounting

Sector
Pension funds, investment service providers
Role
Analytical and general ledger system design and development

The unglamorous heart of long-term savings: unit registers, analytical accounting, general ledger integration, valuation and reconciliation. Decades of member balances that have to be right to the last forint.

Operational due diligence, SME banking

Sector
A leading commercial bank's SME division
Role
Operations and IT due diligence

A structured look under the hood of SME-serving operations: processes, systems, gaps, and what it would cost to fix them. The deliverable was clarity.

Model risk, global scale

Sector
A global investment bank
Role
Development of model risk management software

Inside a large engineering organization, building the tooling that watches the models that watch the money. Full-stack work in a Python-centred stack, agile at scale, with the audit obligations of a systemically important institution.

Fractal market analytics

Sector
A quantitative analytics venture
Role
Design and build of the analysis & prediction platform

A research-driven platform applying fractal-geometry-based mathematics to candle data — structure detection and prediction, engineered as a product rather than a notebook.

Energy & commodities

Power exchange settlement

Sector
A national power exchange
Role
Specification and design of the clearing & settlement system

The system of record for an electricity market's money side: positions, prices, settlement runs, collateral. Banking-grade accounting discipline applied to megawatt-hours — the same rigor we bring to any commodity that clears through a register.

Balancing energy, optimized

Sector
The national electricity transmission system operator
Role
Logical system design; tender evaluation & optimization pipeline

IT support for system-level service procurement: daily balancing-capacity tenders ingested, evaluated by a MATLAB-based optimization engine — the objective function was too complex to invert analytically, so it is solved numerically — with results published to the operator's systems and the European transparency platform. Capacity transfer workflows with plausibility checks, because in this market an implausible number is not a typo, it is an incident.

Regulated digital assets

A MiCA-licensed digital asset platform

Sector
A European digital asset service provider
Role
Design and build of the platform and the account system on top

A new-generation neo-core banking and account management system with an online general ledger — highly distributed and linearly scalable, with an average node on 2 CPUs and 4 GB RAM booking 10–15,000 transactions per second and serving 100,000 client accounts. On top of it: digital asset custody with real analytical accounting behind every balance, and threshold key management built on our own published scheme. The platform passed the scrutiny that ends in a MiCA licence — a national first for its regulator, publicly acknowledged by the supervising central bank.

Loyalty & e-money infrastructure

Sector
Retail loyalty / e-payment (EU research program context)
Role
Concept, business scope and platform design

Unified back-end infrastructure for digital loyalty and small-value e-payments: one place for points, coupons, gift cards and an e-money account, with transaction initiation — not just balance display. Account logic supporting linked accounts within a household. Designed against ISO payment standards and card-scheme data-security expectations.

NPVDKGRS — verifiable key ceremonies

Sector
Open research, applied in production
Role
Design and implementation

A non-interactive, publicly verifiable distributed key generation and resharing scheme over BLS12-381: independent parties create a threshold key, anyone can verify every step, no interactive rounds required — and the complete private key never exists anywhere. Reviewed by university cryptographers, published open source, running today beneath a MiCA-licensed platform. When a keyholder changes, shares are redistributed in seconds — no ceremony, no HSM. A lattice-based post-quantum variant is designed and awaiting implementation.

A cryptographic authorization protocol

Sector
Our protocol, built on NPVDKGRS
Role
Design and implementation

Entitlements as cryptographic facts rather than database rows: who may act, who did act, and when — provable to an authorized examiner. Institutional threshold signatures make decisions accountable while shielding the individuals behind them from targeted pressure. Designed for procedures where process integrity must be demonstrated to outsiders — sealed submissions provably unopened, chained tamper-evident trails, compliance shown by zero-knowledge-style proofs without surrendering the data.

A distributed two-phase transaction protocol

Sector
Our protocol for linearly scalable transaction systems
Role
Design and implementation

Two-phase commit without the central transaction-manager server. Removing the coordinator removes the bottleneck and the single point of failure — which is what makes linear scaling honest: add a node, get a node's worth of throughput. The protocol underpins the transaction processing we build for account-keeping workloads.

Pactena Protocol & Qashmore — digital cash, done properly

Sector
Our protocol and the payment solution on it
Role
Design and implementation

Private, offline-capable, instant payments — with the property that spending the same money twice mathematically reveals the fraudster. Purpose-built zero-knowledge-style proofs give sub-100 ms verification without generic proving circuits. Pactena is the protocol; Qashmore is the product: digital cash, and more.
